Ruchita specializes in Marketing Communications, Change Communications and Executive Communications, and is a strong proponent of the power of Communications in driving successful business outcomes, & building organisational image and culture.

In her career spanning over 14 years in Healthcare, she has conceptualized and implemented award-winning Integrated Marketing Communication campaigns in Diabetes, Immunisation, Infertility, and Consumer Health. Recognitions for her work include the 2017 Indian Digital Media Awards for Best Campaign in Online Advertising, 2017 Asia Pacific Customer Engagement Awards for Online Media Effectiveness, 2013 Sabre India Certificate of Excellence for a Campaign in Public Education, Health and Public Sector, 2012 Skoch Award for Digital Inclusion in Health, 2012 Edge Award for Social Media, 2014 Rx Club Award of Excellence for Corporate Annual Report, and the CMO Asia 2014 ‘50 Most Talented CMOs of India’ Citation. Her campaigns have also won various internal awards at Global level for innovation and impact.

Ruchita started her career with Sanofi, a leading Healthcare Multinational in 2003 as a Counselor for Cancer Patients wherein she also set up and ran operations of Helping Hand, a non-profit organisation for support to cancer patients. She went on to Head the All–India Patient Relationship Management Team of Sanofi in Diabetes and Oncology, conceptualizing ‘Saath 7’ which is one of Industry’s longest running patient support programs in India. She has also authored a chapter on ‘Counseling in Diabetes’ in Christian Medical College Vellore’s ‘A Practical Guide to Diabetes Mellitus’.

She moved into Communications in 2010 taking on roles of increasing responsibilities in Marketing and External Communications, before going on to head Sanofi’s Corporate & Pharmaceutical Communications in India. In 2016, she moved to German Multinational Merck  as Head of Communications – looking after Internal, External, Brand, Sales Force, Digital, Change and Executive Communications – for the Company’s combined Biopharma and Consumer Health businesses in India.

Ruchita has done her Honours in Psychology, and Masters in Social Work from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences), Mumbai.
