Senior Manager of Media, CRM & Partnerships @ McDonald’s
Solange Bernard is the Senior Manager of Media, CRM & Partnerships at McDonald’s Canada and brings with her 18 years of advertising, media and merchandising experience in the retail and broadcast media category to the role.
In her current position, Solange is charged with developing the data-driven personalized customer journey approach for the Canadian market as well as leading the strategic direction of the paid cross-platform strategy. She is focused on driving performance and measurement through marketing mix modelling, innovation and engagement across emerging media platforms. Solange is a passionate leader who fosters exceptional talent and has had great success championing agency accountability and transparency.
Prior to this role, Solange served as Senior Manager Advertising and Media for McDonald’s Canada. Before joining McDonald’s, she held the position of Marketing Consultant at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and spent nearly 14 years in various brand strategy and marketing roles at Shaw Communications, Canwest and Alliance Atlantis where she was responsible for advertising, creative production, media planning, social and digital, publicity, event/sponsorship management and partner/vendor management.
In today’s ever-evolving media landscape, Solange is most fascinated by how insight and data inform technology to better improve the customer experience.
Solange holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph. She has served as a judge for Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec (2015) and as a member of Toronto’s WIFT organization (Women in Film & Television) and is currently involved in the Women’s Leadership Network. Solange lives in Toronto with her husband, three daughters and dog, and is an avid runner and foodie. She enjoys entertaining family and friends, dinners out and traveling in her spare time.
